Dskate is proud to announce the launch of The 2020 Dskate Hockey Spring Classic, a 4 ON 4 hockey tournament exclusively for players living with Type 1 Diabetes, their family and friends.

THIS EVENT IS CURRENTLY POSTPONED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.

UPDATES WILL BE PROVIDED IN MAY 2020.

Set in the heart of downtown Ottawa, a stone's throw from the Rideau Canal and only a 15 minute walk to Parliament, the Dskate Hockey Spring Classic is a great way to celebrate #T1DHockey.

WHO CAN PLAY?

  • - Boys or Girls who love hockey
  • - Living with Type 1 Diabetes
  • - Born between 2004-2012
  • - Minimum 1 year hockey experience
  • - CSA-certified hockey equipment
  • - No geographical restrictions
  •  

Tourney Format

  • - 4 on 4 Dskate "showdown" format
  • - Round Robin + Playoffs/Championship
  • - Non-contact hockey games
  • - Neck guard required
  • - Minimum 10 players per team (1 G)
  • - More ice, more games, more fun!

OTTAWA, ONTARIO - A T1D FAMILY GETAWAY

The Minto Sports Complex is multi-sport state-of-the-art, education, entertainment and recreational facility that services communities in Ottawa and the student body of the University of Ottawa.

Conveniently located on-campus at U of Ottawa, the Minto Sports Complex boasts 2 rinks, a sports store, a bar/restaurant, a full gym, a dance studio, multiple classrooms, outdoor football field and on-site parking complex.

10 minutes from any downtown Ottawa hotel, the Dskate Hockey Spring Classic will be located steps from the Rideau Canal, a 10 minute walk to the Rideau Shopping Complex and Byward Market, and 15 minutes to Parliament Hill, an ideal spot for a #T1DHockey family vacation.
